Advantages of Z-shaped steel sheet piles:

Steel sheet piles have a wide range of applications, as listed below;
(1) River bank protection and flood control. Steel sheet piles are often used in river revetment, ship locks, ship lock construction, flood control, etc. The advantage is that they are suitable for water conservancy projects and have a long service life.
(2) Ports and terminals. Steel sheet piles are a more suitable material for wharf construction. It meets the requirements of rapid and economical wharf construction, and has good mechanical properties, and can withstand large vertical loads and lateral bending moments.
(3) Water collection stations. Previously used as temporary support for pumping stations, sheet piles can also be used in structures, significantly reducing construction time and costs. The pump station is usually a rectangular structure, but judging from the existing open structure, the circular shape will be the future development trend.
(4) Piers. Sheet piles are economical when the pile foundation is load bearing or when speed of construction is required. It can function as a foundation and a pier at the same time, or it can work in one direction, taking up little time and space.
(5) Road widening retaining wall. The key to road widening lies in the amount of land acquisition and construction speed, especially in the case of borrowing other lanes, steel sheet piles can meet the above requirements without excavating and clearing the soil.
(6) CELLAR. Because it takes up so little space, sheet piles are ideal for building basement walls.
