Hot dip galvanizing application range:
Because the resulting coating is thicker, hot-dip galvanizing has better protective properties than electro-galvanizing, so it is an important protective coating for steel parts used in harsh working environments. Hot-dip galvanized products are widely used in chemical equipment, petroleum processing, ocean exploration, metal structures, power transmission, shipbuilding and other industries. cold galvanized
Cold galvanizing (electro-galvanizing) is to gradually coat the metal surface with zinc through the unidirectional current in the electroplating tank. The production speed is slow, the coating is uniform, the thickness is thin, usually only 3-15 microns, the appearance is bright, and the corrosion resistance is poor. It usually takes a few months for it to rust.
Compared with hot-dip galvanizing, the production cost of electro-galvanizing is lower.
The difference between cold galvanizing and hot dip galvanizing:

1. Material
A. Zinc ingots: should be no less than No. 1 zinc specified in GB470.
B. Sulfuric acid: should comply with the first-level concentrated sulfuric acid specified in GB534.
C. Hydrochloric acid: should comply with the first-level concentrated hydrochloric acid specified in GB534.
D. Chemical chemical: should comply with the first-level chlorinated chemical specified in GB2946.
2. Exterior
A. The coating surface is continuous and functionally smooth.
B. The installation and combination of plated parts do not allow sagging, dripping or slag.
C. The surface of the plated parts should be free of defects such as missing plating and exposed iron, but the defects are allowed to exist under the following conditions.
a. The missing plating area is a spot with a diameter of less than 0.5 mm.
b. Regardless of the size of the plated parts, the number of spots with a missing plating area of 0.5-1 mm in diameter shall not be more than 3 spots per square centimeter, and the total spots of the plated parts shall be
Count no more than 10 points.
c. At non-connections or non-joint corners, sagging or slag with a height not exceeding 1.5 mm.
d. Contact scars on the plated parts, hangers and operating tools, but no iron is exposed.
3. Zinc adhesion amount and zinc layer thickness
A. When the thickness of the plated part is 3-4 mm, the zinc adhesion amount should be less than 460 grams/meter, that is, the average thickness of the zinc layer should not be less than 65 microns.
B. When the thickness of the plated part is greater than 4 mm, the zinc adhesion amount should not be less than 610 grams/meter, that is, the average thickness of the zinc layer should not be less than 86 microns.
C. Coating uniformity: The galvanized layer is basically uniform and is etched five times with copper sulfate solution without exposing iron.
D. Coating adhesion: The zinc layer of the plated parts should be firmly combined with the basic metal and have sufficient adhesion strength. It should not fall off or bulge after the hammer test.
4. Requirements for parts to be plated
A. The surface of the parts to be plated should be smooth and there should be no dirt that cannot be removed by pickling. Such as paint, grease, cement, asphalt and excessively rotten materials

B. All welds of welded components should be sealed and no air should be allowed.
C. Pipe fittings and container fittings must have exhaust and zinc inlet holes.
D. The workpiece should be a finished welded steel pipe without threads. If there are threads, they should be protected.
5. Test methods
A. The zinc adhesion amount is measured using a magnetic thickness meter to directly measure the thickness of the zinc layer.
B. The coating uniformity is measured using the copper sulfate solution etching test method.
6. Stretching method
A. If there is any dispute over the amount of zinc layer attached, the thickness of the zinc layer, the uniformity of the zinc layer, or the adhesion, take the sample and the product and galvanize under the same process conditions.
After testing, any product that does not meet the requirements of this standard is deemed to be unqualified.
B. Product factory sampling inspection method. If the product fails the first time, it will be randomly inspected according to relevant regulations. If it still fails, the batch of products will be judged to be unqualified.
7. Inspection and warehousing
A. Plated parts that pass the inspection must be certified in writing by full-time inspection personnel before they can be placed in the qualified department.
B. Qualified products should be stacked neatly according to various specifications.
8. Hot dip galvanizing process:
