Classification
It can be divided into the following categories according to production and processing methods:

Electro-galvanized steel sheet. This kind of galvanized steel sheet manufactured by electroplating method has good processability. However, the coating is thin and its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized sheets;
Single-sided and double-sided galvanized steel panels. Single-sided galvanized steel sheet is a product that is galvanized on only one side. In terms of welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, processing, etc., it has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized sheets. In order to overcome the shortcomings of one side not being coated with zinc, there is another type of galvanized sheet that is coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, that is, double-sided galvanized sheet;
Alloy, composite galvanized steel plate. It is made of zinc and other metals such as aluminum, lead, zinc, etc., which are alloyed or even composite plated steel plates. This kind of steel plate has both excellent anti-rust properties and good painting properties;
In addition to the above five types, there are also colored galvanized steel sheets, printed and painted galvanized steel sheets, PVC laminated galvanized steel sheets, etc. But currently the most commonly used is still hot-dip galvanized sheet.

Relevant product standards list the recommended standard thickness, length and width of galvanized sheets and their allowable deviations. The thickness deviation also has different requirements according to the yield, tensile coefficient, etc. The length and width deviation is generally 5mm. Galvanized sheets should have good appearance and should not have defects that are harmful to product use, such as no plating, holes, cracks and scum, excessive plating thickness, scratches, chromic acid dirt, white rust, etc. Foreign standards are not very clear on specific appearance defects. Performance indicators: Generally speaking, only galvanized sheets for structural use, drawing use and deep drawing use have tensile performance requirements. Bending test:
Bending test is the main item to measure the process performance of thin plates, but the requirements of various countries' standards for various galvanized sheets are not consistent. The American standards do not require bending and tensile tests except for the structural level. In Japan, bending tests are required for all products except structural grade, building corrugated panels and general corrugated panels.
Requirements: It is generally required that after the galvanized sheet is bent 180 degrees, the zinc layer must not be detached from the outer surface, and the base of the sheet must not be cracked or broken.

After 1999, the import volume of galvanized sheets exceeded the production volume for the first time. The self-sufficiency rate of domestic products is less than 50% and has a trend of decreasing year by year.
(1) Current status of galvanized sheet consumption
In recent years, the increase in domestic galvanized sheet production is mainly due to the increase in hot-dip galvanized sheet production. From 1998 to 2002, hot-dip galvanized sheet production increased from 970,000 tons to 2.2 million tons; while imports grew faster, It increased from 370,000 tons in 1998 to 1.56 million tons in 2002; apparent consumption increased from 1.32 million tons to 3.67 million tons. In 2002, the domestic product self-sufficiency rate of hot-dip galvanized sheets was about 60%. The domestic production and import volume of hot-dip galvanized sheets that year both increased compared with the previous year. In recent years, with the rapid development of the family car market, the basic popularization of household appliances and personal computers, the large-scale export of electronic products, and the development of the security door market, the demand for electro-galvanized sheets has grown too fast. At present, the production scale of electro-galvanized sheets in my country cannot meet the demand of the domestic market, both in terms of quantity, variety and quality. From 1998 to 2002, domestic electrogalvanized sheet production increased slowly, from 170,000 tons to 400,000 tons; while imports increased rapidly, from 730,000 tons to 1.78 million tons; apparent consumption increased from 870,000 tons to 2.16 million tons.
