What are the cutting methods of cold-rolled steel plates? The cutting methods of steel plates mainly include cold cutting and hot cutting.
Cold cutting is divided into water cutting or ordinary cutting. Generally, it can be distinguished according to the thickness and material of the steel plate, and the matching steel plate cutting method is adopted. Thermal cutting includes methods such as flame cutting, plasma cutting or laser cutting.
According to the thickness, the steel plate is divided into thin plate (0.2mm-4mm), medium plate (4mm-60mm) and thick plate (>60mm).
Sheet shears and flame cutting machines are generally used for thin plates, which are characterized by fast shearing speed, high efficiency and low cost. However, when the flame cutting machine cuts thin steel plates, it is easy to cause deformation, so it should be selected according to the usage.
The laser cutting steel plate is characterized by relatively high precision, but due to the high cost of laser cutting equipment and high cutting costs, oxygen can be used for steel plates with a slightly higher thickness, such as 20mm.
Waterjet cutting is also suitable for thick steel plates. Wide cutting range, high precision, not easy to deform, environmental protection. The disadvantage is that it is slow and consumes a lot of energy.
